INGREDIENTS
2 shots (50ml) of Rose Gin by Tinkture
15ml fresh lemon juice
150g granulated sugar
150ml water
Champagne
Lots of ice
A large bunch of thyme - keep back a sprig or two to garnish.
METHOD
First up the Thyme Syrup. Place sugar, water and thyme in a small saucepan and simmer until the sugar dissolves. Let this delicious mix bubble gently for a few minutes, then sieve to remove the thyme.
Next fill a cocktail shaker with plenty of ice, the Thyme Syrup, lemon juice and a good measure of Rose Gin. Shake your shaker vigorously. When your arm tires strain the contents into an iced champagne glass, then top up with Champagne. Stir gently. Garnish with a sprig of thyme.
Sip, while delicately extending your little finger, feel sophisticated, elegant and just a little bit French!
